It occurs to me that many people think life is supposed to be difficult. Everything seems to be a struggle. The glass is always half empty as opposed to half filled. Why do you think people think that life is supposed to be that way?
It has been said that parents teach their children that life is hard. “Nothing worthwhile ever comes easy”. That is what I heard growing up. You are supposed to work hard and struggle and then life will be meaningful and you will be living a good life. If anything came easy, you were said to be lucky.
Through years of spiritual awakening and learning and studying the self growth gurus, they all say that life is supposed to be easy, fun, exciting, adventurous, challenging. No where in their teachings is there mention that life is supposed to be hard, a drag, something to endure.
I believe that really deep down we know it, but there has been a lot that has clouded our view. And because of those clouds, we are hesitant and afraid to admit that we know that that is true. So we feel guilty for enjoying our lives and make sure that we have just enough drama to make our lives seem worthwhile.
And that prevents us from having a great life. What if you allowed life to be easy ? You didn’t have to struggle. What if you had wonderful people and support in your life who handled much of your stuff, a great tax accountant, real estate experts who handled your real estate investments?
What if you had amazing perfect health and felt great and strong and were at a weight that you were happy about? What if you had more than enough money to make all your dreams come true?
Then what. What would you do? My feelings are that people are so accustomed to not allowing life to be fun and challenging that they purposely, although not consciously make life hard for themselves. Instead of having a great life or even daydreaming about that possibility, they have a hard time believing it could be so much easier than they imagine.
Well I am here to say, give it a chance. Ease up a little, if only for a moment, take a deep breath, and don’t force things so much. And before you know it, even allowing life to be easy will become easier.

Ecstatic Kabbalah
Kabbalah-the secret is out! From Madonna’s controversial conversion to the Dalai Lama’s acknowledgment and support, this mystical tradition is gaining unprecedented recognition. But how do we put this powerful and esoteric worldview into practice? With The Ecstatic Kabbalah, Rabbi David Cooper-author of God Is a Verb (100, 000 copies sold, Riverhead, 1958), and a renowned leader of the Jewish meditation movement-provides practical exercises on the path toward “mending the soul,” the fundamental Jewish experience that brings union with the Divine.
With meditation techniques for both beginning and advanced practitioners, The Ecstatic Kabbalah guides listeners into awareness of the presence of light with experiential practices for touching the four worlds of mystical Judaism:
- Physical-breath work and mind-body harmonization
- Emotional-tone the divine names as an expression of devotion
- Mental-learn the histories of these techniques
- Spiritual-stabilize your connection with divine presence
Finally, the long-sequestered doors of Kabbalah are open to all listeners, as they are invited to dwell in the embrace of the Divine with The Ecstatic Kabbalah’s practices of daily renewal.

Bug Out Bag or Vehicle- belay kit
For dropping down small elavation drops, that are just safer with the proper gear. Or to keep in your BOV for getting off a collasped freeway after an earthquake. This is the kit I use. Now you should know that kit works for me, but I am in no way an expert climber, so you should do your own research and practicing.

Image : http://www.flickr.com
The characters of video games live in a three dimensional world. If you are a gamer, so far you have experienced only two dimensions. The first person shooter game has made revolutionary impact in the gaming industry.
Using the latest technology it has exceeded all expectations in the gaming industry. One of such technology applications is 3rd space FPS vest, which has taken game play beyond sight and sound.
The gaming vest is one of the most realistic accessories in the gaming industry. As you wear the vest and start playing, you can have realistic feeling for gunshots, missile attacks, punches, kicks and other types of body impact without any real pain.
The technology of this vest uses a lightweight, durable air compressor system to fire totally customizable pneumatic cells. Every cell has the capacity for delivering force up to 5 pounds. Thus when the cells fire at their own rates, force, duration giving players a sensory experience all type of body impacts as well as all types of environmental contact effects as they happen in the character of the game.
The vest has eight automatically located contact points, four each in the front and back. Utilizing air pockets this nudges and jabs gamers at eight different contact points. It is so realistic; it actually feels like user is really hit by gunfire. These vests use 3dimensional accurate impact generating technology.
The vest has an air compressor. Air is rapidly filled as bullet, punch or kick stuck. The pulse due to the several fill up simulates G-force from a speeding jet or a sports car; the vest will create pressure to give you a feeling about the strikes of the game.
This vest is not a light weight. It looks like a bullet proof jacket as uses in Navy. But as you wear this while sitting, you don’t feel its heavy weight. Now, after wearing this vest you will feel to be in the centre of this game show.
The gaming vest comes in two sizes: S/M and L/XL. If you are in between these two, then select the smaller one as it will fit tightly to give you better impact.
The vest requires windows XP or higher operating system, processor should be Intel or AMD, Minimum CPU speed should be 1.0 GHz or higher, Memory 512 MB or higher, video card (ATI) as Radeon 9600 or higher, video card (NVIDIA) as GeForce Fx5200 or better, video RAM as 64MB or higher and multiplayer should be internet (broadband connection) and LAN (TCP/IP) play supported.

Which Half Are You?

Image : http://www.flickr.com
When more than half of Americans were identified as overweight, people took notice. Major news outlets began educating on how to stay out, or get out, of that statistic. I wish the same attention had been paid when the Conference Board released their statistics saying half of Americans are satisfied with their job.
Of course, that means, half are dissatisfied. Disliking your job is hazardous to your health and well-being, too. You can’t be winning at working if you’re dissatisfied with your work or languishing in the status-quo of dislike.
Spending the majority of your waking hours dissatisfied, like being overweight, weighs you down, depletes your energy, and kidnaps your spirit. You can change all that. And looking for a new job should not be where you start. At least not yet.
First consider what is causing your dissatisfaction. Maybe it’s that annoying coworker or irritating boss that’s holding you back. Maybe if you only made more money. Maybe the work’s boring or the company’s unfair. Whatever your reasons, pause your thinking and go to step two: look deeper. More than likely what’s at the root of your dissatisfaction is your own doubts, fears, and insecurities.
You see, too often we become victims in our own life. We blame McDonald’s for having French fries that make us fat, and blame bosses who give us substandard raises. When in fact, we control whether the French fries gets purchased and put in our mouth, or we do the quality of work that meets the performance standards for a higher raise. It’s a choice. And choices bring accountability. It’s easier to believe you’re a victim of circumstances than a driver of your own future. But, this easier choice comes at a price: dissatisfaction.
The harder choice comes with a price too: personal accountability. That means when you’re running an obstacle course and discover you’re the obstacle, you correct your thinking, enhance your skills, and persist through your fears. It means, if you don’t get the raise, the promotion, or the more interesting work, you look in the mirror first.
Sure, in the end, you may determine you need to change jobs or environments. Just be sure it’s the job you’re dissatisfied with, or you may find the same irritating co-workers and unfair bosses (with different names, of course) waiting for you in the new job.
People who are winning at working don’t see themselves as victims. They know the choices they make have consequences and payoffs. And while fears, self-doubts and insecurities may stall their progress, challenge their courage, and test their persistence, it doesn’t stop them.
It’s not easy to move through your fears, build your self-esteem or change your negative self-talk. But few things in life worth having are easy. People who are winning at working do the hard self-work. They’re unwilling to let their fears, doubts and insecurities orchestrate the outcome of their lives, at work or at home. To them, the biggest dissatisfaction would be wondering about the person they could have been. Want to be winning at working? No one is stopping you, but you.

Introduction to Geocaching Gear and Supplies

Image : http://www.flickr.com
Geocaching is known by many names. It has been called everything from high-tech hide-and-seek, global stash hunting to a more modern version of the Easter egg hunt. Geocaching is a very fun adventure game for GPS users. To enjoy your geocaching adventure, we have listed a few geocaching gear and supplies for you to consider.
o GPS Unit. A GPS receiver is the most essential gear you need for geocaching. You need to input the geocache coordinates into your GPS in order to find it. Garmin is number one when considering GPS for geocaching with their host of products to make sure you find that big cache. With a Garmin GPS in your hand and an appetite for adventure, you will definitely find all the geocache around the world.
o Geocache Containers. A geocache is a small container hidden by geocachers. Some are hidden in forests or deserts while some are buried in urban areas. If you decide to hide your very own cache, you must use the right type of container. Ammo cans are the best container for geocaching. They are very cheap, designed for the outdoors and waterproof. The tupperware box is the most common and cheapest geocache container around. It is quite waterproof, strong and comes in a variety of sizes. It can easily be wedged in any nooks and crannies and it looks innocent unlike ammo cans. Film canisters, bison tubes and small magnetic tubes are used for micro and nano caches.
o GeoCoins. GeoCoins are numbered geocaching coins that were made to give geocachers a collectable, tradable and trackable cache prize. You can leave them in your geocache for other geocachers to find or trade them.
o Travel Bugs. Travel Bugs are items that, once registered, can be tracked online. The travel bug is carried from cache to cache (or person to person) in the real world and you can follow its progress online.
o GeoSwags. GeoSwags can be left as prizes for other geocachers or traded for other items in the geocache. Some common geoswags are casino chips, hot wheels and patches.
o Geocaching Clothing and Accessories. With geocaching, you would usually head into urban areas or the woods. Proper clothing is therefore very important to keep you safe and warm.
o Logbook. A logbook is where visitors of your hidden geocache will write down details about their visit. You can write down jokes or tips about the place.
There are many other supplies that may help you enjoy geocaching more such as Walkie Talkies, camouflage tapes, walking sticks and geocaching books. Head to geocachinggear.net to learn more about geocaching gear and supplies.

How to Master the Art of Self Reliance After 50

Image : http://www.flickr.com
Turning 50 for some people can be rather traumatic. There comes a point that we see life passing us by quickly and realize that we may not be prepared to face the second half of life. There are a number of areas that you should be getting in order if you do not already like your finances for instance but, you want to be ready physically as well. If you are unable to keep yourself healthy after 50 with exercise and following a proper nutritional program, there is no way you will be in the drivers seat when it comes to living your life the way you want.
To be self reliant starts with doing what you can to maintain your health. Its never been as important as it is today to be sure you that you keep your physical and mental health in top shape. Both can be attained if you plan and prepare to follow a disciplined exercise and nutritional program. One of the best investments you can make into your personal health insurance account is to get a membership at a gym or YMCA.If you are not familiar with the equipment or have not been involved with an exercise program in the past be sure to get professional help to get you started on the right track and, to avoid possible injury.
Your independence as you age will be something you will look forward too, however, you need to start preparing now it is never too late. Strength training and eating properly will assure you that you are doing everything you can to stay at the top of your game. Remember, health is wealth.
By staying physically and mentally strong it allows you to have a better quality of life. If you want to continue to work to keep some sort of cash flow coming in and you are better equipped to handle the workload and, working at something keeps you mentally active as well. Self reliance means not having to go to someone else with your hand out because you cannot work or you were unable to keep you finances under control.
Last of all, going into life after 50 with no debt will help you build and maintain the self reliant attitude you need to be victorious. By not having debt piled up and being a slave to your job for instance, puts you in the drivers seat. You call the shots when you work and how you work. Your life will be directly affected by how much control you feel you have over it.
Get started today in building a life that is more self reliant on you instead of a handout or hoping someone else comes through in your life. Self reliance is truly all about living strong, independent and free.
