I am not an RC enthusiast and I’ve never owned an RC sailboat before. I am more of a sailing enthusiast, and this boat is ABSOLUTELY a real sailboat. It reacts to inputs as a real boat would and the same rules of sailing a full-sized Bermuda rigged sloop apply to this little yacht. It is fast and can go waaay faster than hull speed. It beats incredibly well to windward and on a run it can really surf with the sails wing-on-wing. It is so much fun that it’s easy to spend a couple hours at the pond.

Almost all of the parts are replaceable and Megatech’s service is incredible. I had an issue with my transmitter ( part) and their support responded to my email in ONE day… Phenomenal!! They agreed to send me a new part free of charge with no questions asked- this was not at all expected.

I would recommend you buy this NOW. I got the last Nirvana II at my local hobby shop, and they are pretty much sold out everywhere. Supposedly there is going to be a Nirvana III, but I can’t see how it could possibly be better than this one. It is very nicely finished and I get comments EVERY time I’m out sailing about how nice it looks. I had a professional nature photographer tell me that he couldn’t tell it was a model in a couple of his shots- it really is that true to form.

Boat is well constructed and was packaged very well. The instructions were OK and the minor assembly required was easy. She sails great! The RC package is pretty much a piece of junk and has been replaced with a better quality package. Would be a much better product if it was made available with several different RC package options and as a boat only – no RC.

I purchased this boat, in yellow, and it arrived well-packed, and fairly simple to assemble. However, there were a couple of issues: one, I paid extra for it to be shipped in 3 days, and it arrived in seven. Secondly, assembly went well, with the exception that the boom was mounted upsidedown, and I had to remove a pin and flip it (not as simple as it sounds – 20 minutes). My last complaint is that during my maiden voyage, I had radio interfernece with the only other boat on the pond who wasn’t even close to my frequency or channel.

But once the captain of that boat turned his radio off and offered me a few pointers, my son and I were sailing immediately. Having zero experience sailing model boats, I was very satisfied with the boats performance and ease of use, and anxiously look forward to the nex time out. Tons of fun. I wish I knew why there was interference. A few people suggested that the radio may not have good channel blocking like more expensive ones … I don’t know. But it’s not going to deter me.

For the price (by 0s), you cannot beat this boat.

This toy was a waste of money. It advertises that it can go in water, which my boy was very excited about. It broke in 5 minutes.

After reading some reviews on amazon…I decided to buy one of the Morphibians. I orginally bought the red, buggy-stlyed car. The description Amazon publishes says “working headlights” for all models…However, after realizing the headlights were painted and did not light up on that model, I sent it back. It’s been almost two weeks and no refund yet. I did; however, read the Return Policy for Amazon.com today. It says not to get worried until after 4 weeks!

Anyway, back to the review of the toy — I immediately ordered the Shark model as all the customer reviews I read also said the headlights worked on this model. Well, to my surprise as I took it out to put batteries in it, I realized the headlights on this one were painted too — they DO NOT LIGHT UP!

At this point, I just continued what I was doing because my 2 1/2-year-old didn’t know they were supposed to light up. Plus, he had seen it at this point. He was excited because it replaced a Tonka RC toy that sadly, died. So I opened the battery compartment and put in some batteries. I gave what was intended to be a brief demonstration that turned into a few minutes of goofing off.

My son thought it was cool. After allowing him a chance to use it — I realized his confusion with the controls. I read about the controller and was somewhat prepared for my initial test runs. He, despite my explanations, was a bit confused. He’d just began to master the way “normal” controls work and this “tank drive” threw him for a loop. I will say, the next time he played with it, he was a bit more adjusted to steering it properly.

All in all, it does what it says — besides having working headlights!! We drove it up a ramp I made and in into his kiddie pool. It moved around in it well enough — not great, but not bad. It doesn’t do so well in grass but handles most other surfaces impressively. This not a fast car. It is entertaining…and most importantly — my son likes it. Though, I am a bit pissed at the false description on Amazon…it is a fun toy that seems durable.

It is a good boat, fast, agile and good looking… but you can only ride it 15 min, and then take it out and charge the battery for four hours, there were the fun stops. This seems to be a general issue on battery boats, i guess that if you wanna use it longer than that you need to buy something with gas.
