I am not an RC enthusiast and I’ve never owned an RC sailboat before. I am more of a sailing enthusiast, and this boat is ABSOLUTELY a real sailboat. It reacts to inputs as a real boat would and the same rules of sailing a full-sized Bermuda rigged sloop apply to this little yacht. It is fast and can go waaay faster than hull speed. It beats incredibly well to windward and on a run it can really surf with the sails wing-on-wing. It is so much fun that it’s easy to spend a couple hours at the pond.

Almost all of the parts are replaceable and Megatech’s service is incredible. I had an issue with my transmitter ( part) and their support responded to my email in ONE day… Phenomenal!! They agreed to send me a new part free of charge with no questions asked- this was not at all expected.

I would recommend you buy this NOW. I got the last Nirvana II at my local hobby shop, and they are pretty much sold out everywhere. Supposedly there is going to be a Nirvana III, but I can’t see how it could possibly be better than this one. It is very nicely finished and I get comments EVERY time I’m out sailing about how nice it looks. I had a professional nature photographer tell me that he couldn’t tell it was a model in a couple of his shots- it really is that true to form.

Boat is well constructed and was packaged very well. The instructions were OK and the minor assembly required was easy. She sails great! The RC package is pretty much a piece of junk and has been replaced with a better quality package. Would be a much better product if it was made available with several different RC package options and as a boat only – no RC.

I purchased this boat, in yellow, and it arrived well-packed, and fairly simple to assemble. However, there were a couple of issues: one, I paid extra for it to be shipped in 3 days, and it arrived in seven. Secondly, assembly went well, with the exception that the boom was mounted upsidedown, and I had to remove a pin and flip it (not as simple as it sounds – 20 minutes). My last complaint is that during my maiden voyage, I had radio interfernece with the only other boat on the pond who wasn’t even close to my frequency or channel.

But once the captain of that boat turned his radio off and offered me a few pointers, my son and I were sailing immediately. Having zero experience sailing model boats, I was very satisfied with the boats performance and ease of use, and anxiously look forward to the nex time out. Tons of fun. I wish I knew why there was interference. A few people suggested that the radio may not have good channel blocking like more expensive ones … I don’t know. But it’s not going to deter me.

For the price (by 0s), you cannot beat this boat.

I bought this for a mate and he is very happy with it. Says it goes fast and is a lot of fun.

It is a good boat, fast, agile and good looking… but you can only ride it 15 min, and then take it out and charge the battery for four hours, there were the fun stops. This seems to be a general issue on battery boats, i guess that if you wanna use it longer than that you need to buy something with gas.
