Bought this for my husband, who travels frequently. It is a great accessory for this purposes and is infinitely better than the airline screens. It is especially handy for watching content of one’s choice instead of the canned stuff on board that, for a frequent traveler, tend to be repeats, anyway. The one issue my husband reports is that the two eyepieces are not perfectly matched and that the far edge of the screen on one side is beyond view. Screen quality could be improved but for a new product was quite acceptable. Audio was fine. All in all, it’s a must have for anyone who travels and cares about passing that time in a more personally satisfying way.

Any other product I’ve ever used with a rechargable battery, whether a laptop computer, a PSP type multi system, a Nintendo DS, a Cell Phone…I can go on and on, has a system in which either: A. the system charges as long as it is plugged in, whether on or off, and it can be used with AC power, even if the battery is not fully charged, or B. the system does not charge while on, but AT LEAST uses AC power so the product can be used without having to wait….and wait….and wait….for the charge, then, after waiting, enjoy the product for barely enough time to watch a 30 minute sitcom episode before it rapidly depletes the battery and leaves you waiting….and waiting….and waiting….and waiting again. Do they really want us to believe they cannot make something like this that doesn’t run on either battery power or AC power?
I’m sorry, but I just don’t buy it. And unless you want to spend a lot of time waiting….and waiting….and waiting…you shouldn’t buy it either. What a letdown and a waste of over 0 for this badly designed piece of junk.

One of the issues I had in watching movies on the ipod was reflection from bright sun, the washout from the sun when sitting outside, especially in dark scenes, and distractions from activity around me when watching in public areas. The eyewear solved two these problems. It also created a bigger picture to view the movie. I experienced no discomfort in using them (no headache or neck pain etc). They are comfortable and enjoyable: I love them. I found even in bed or in the dark I preferred wearing them because they did offer a larger picture even if not as sharp and let me experience the movie more totally. Plus an added bonus was less interruptions when watching a movie in public from people. They are not totally perfected yet. They still have a ways to go to enhance the viewing experience in sharpness and balance between eyes but neither of these created a problem for me but I will be watching for a more perfected unit. Allowing lense adjustment is very important and eliminates the need of wearing eyeglasses with them. Also not having separate batteries for the eyewear is a plus as far as I’m concerned. I did find the rubber shade-boot bought separately helped a lot in blocking out stray light and distractions going on around me while traveling or sitting in public areas thus solving my third issue. For the current time it is a great solution to watching movies on the ipod and I use mine all the time.
