Sigg Traveler Classic Water Bottle (1.0-Liters, Green Transparent) Two Bottles – Both Failed Within 6 Months – wadman –
I bought two of these bottles in July of 2009. One was for me and one for my wife. Cold water was the only liquid ever put unto these bottles other than cleaning. They were cleaned with Dawn dish soap about every 2 weeks. After around 4 months the inner, protective coating peeled off of my bottle right at the threads for the lid. That makes the bottle useless since it is not safe to drink out of Aluminum.

We stopped using the Sigg bottles and switch to Klean Kanteen just after that happened. A couple months later my wife needed to use her Sigg bottle, and found that the protective coating had peeled off in the exact same way.

The great thing about these bottles and the reason they are getting two stars and not one is that they can be recycled.
