The Documentary: : THE DOCUMENTARY, (Aftermath/G Unit/Interscope), the debut album from The Game (a/k/a Jayceon Taylor), announces the arrival of the most significant West Coast gangsta rapper since Snoop Dogg more than a decade earlier. With guest spots from 50 CENT, NATE DOGG and several others, as well as producers from DR. DRE to KANYE WEST to JUST BLAZE and tracks such as “How We Do” feat. 50 Cent, “Like Father Like Son,” “Church For Thugs,” “Dreams,” “Where I’m From” and “Westside Story,” THE DOCUMENTARY resurrects the truth, spirit and hope of hardcore rap. If the Game’s G Unit-fueled debut–the most anticipated CD of early 2005–is supposed to be the Answer like Iverson, then what was the question? Well, when an emcee gets to rifle through 50 Cent’s Rolodex to handpick top-flight producers (Timbaland, Just Blaze, Kanye West), it’s a can’t-miss scheme, right? In this case, uh-huh. “Westside Story” is Game’s opportunity to remind crunk-come-latelys that his region is still rap relevant. On the Dr. Dre-produced “Higher,” he snorts: “I got ‘em (Impala’s) in every color, yeah I’m a known stunna.” Yep, he’s rich now too and drives whips that cost more than most make in a year. It doesn’t even matter much that he’s a B-minus rhyme spitter, or that he spends way too much studio time name dropping. His real life 50 Cent-esque narratives (been shot and involved in “subterranean” activities) makes cuts like the introspective, Havoc-hemmed “Don’t Need Your Love” with Faith Evans that much more compelling. Boasting a half-dozen plus other sure-fire hit singles, including the Kanye burner “Dreams,” few albums can match up to The Documentary–the only Game in town. –Dalton Higgins – read more.

Grand Theft Auto: Episodes from Liberty City – Zwei komplette Spiele: “The Lost and Damned” + “The Ballad of Gay Tony” Bessere Story – Schlechtere Optik – Christian Kurze –
Kurz und knapp: Die Story beider Spiele ist definitiv besser als bei GTA IV, die Charaktere sind authentisch, die Zwischensequenzen zeugen von viel Liebe zum Detail, lustig und spannend wie noch nie! Paar leckere neue Fahrzeuge gibts auch und man kann Fallschirmspringen (San Andreas lässt grüßen, coole Sache!).

!DENNOCH! hat Rockstar Games es sich bei der Portierung von Xbox 360 auf Pc und PS3 hübsch leicht gemacht und alles scheinbar 1:1 übernommen, dementsprechend häufige Lade-Ruckler hat das Spiel, von Tearing und Schmerzender Unschärfe ganz zu schweigen, abgestimmt auf die entsprechende Hardware ist da überhaupt nix! Das tut einem echt weh Liberty City so trübe zu sehen, wo man es doch anders gewohnt ist. Beschämend Rockstar Games, sonst wär es das beste GTA bislang gewesen. Die Storys rechtfertigen den Kauf dennoch, ABER EINE VERBESSERTE GRAFIK hat das Spiel weiß Gott nicht (wie in einigen Rezensionen behauptet). Dennoch kann man allen GTA Fans viel Spaß beim Zocken wünschen, den sie auf jeden Fall haben werden.
So, nun habe ich beide Teile durchgespielt.

Lost and damned:
Hier habe ich mich anfangs über die Grafik gewundert und geärgert. Ein permanentes Rauschen des Bildes. Aber siehe da! In den OPTIONEN kann man den Graufilter oder Schleier deaktivieren. Der soll angeblich dazu dienen, das Bild älter wirken zu lassen…

Für mich persönlich ist das Addon nicht sonderlich gut gelungen. Kann aber auch daran liegen, dass ich mit den ganzen Motorrädern und Rockern nicht viel anfangen konnte. Außerdem war das Addon ziemlich kurz. Auch Rückblickend kann ich mich an keine besonderen oder lustigen Stellen erinnern.

Trotzdem kann man es mal anspielen, denn die Idee einen Rocker zu spielen bringt frischen Wind. Mal etwas neues bei GTA. Die neuen Waffen machen auch Spaß. Die Fahrphysik der Motorräder sollte jedoch überarbeitet werden. Mit so breiten reifen sich in eine Kurve zu legen, naja ich weiß nicht… Online habe ich das Addon nicht ausgiebig getestet.

Ballad of the gay tony:
Vom Anfang bis zum Ende einfach nur genial. Dieses Addon finde ich wirklich gut. Die neuen Waffen, Hellis, Fahrzeuge und die Story sind wirklich klasse!

An der Grafik habe ich nichts zu meckern, nur die Ruckler stören mich schon mal. Aber das kommt zum Glück nicht allzu oft vor.

Schön finde ich es auch, dass man sich beim Multiplayer nun spiele etwas filtern kann. So kann man nur Spielen join, bei den das “automatische Zielen” z.B. ausgestellt ist. ENDLICH kann man so auch mal Fahrzeuge gescheit benutzen ohne im Vorbeifahren via autoaim mit 100 kmh erschossen zu werden. Ich wünschte mehr Spieler würden das genauso sehen.

Bei beiden Teilen sind die Radiosender wirklich super. Viele Musikstücke erkenne ich wieder. Für GTA Fans ein schönes Spiel.
