Siemens is a really old phone brand. Back when all the phones came in black-and-white monochromatic displays, Siemens came up with some of the smallest, compact phones that totally changed the bulky look of phones. However, it’s been a long while since I saw any Siemens phones in the market. Recently however, I came across one phone from Siemens. Apparently, the brand is no longer just Siemens but BenQ-Siemens. Probably has something to do with some corporate takeover stuff that I have no idea about. Anyway, this is the review on the phone.

The BenQ-Siemens EF71 or EF71 for short, is a flip-type phone that measures 90 x 47 x 18.5 mm. The phone weighs 100 g. For a flip phone, it is slightly heavy. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with the dimensions of the phone. The phone is thin and compact. The flip mechanism is easy to use and you wont find the phone getting stuck when trying to open it. The EF71 comes in a silver-ish color that is interspersed with black markings. This makes the EF71 look very classy and stylish. Top marks for design.

As for the display, the EF71 has a 176 x 220 screen. Thats about2.2 inches diagonally. Again, I am a Nokia user so I a not quite used to the screen size. Nevertheless, the display is still large. I had no problems viewing it. I played a few games on the phone and the screen is large enough for that purpose too. You really don’t have to place the phone close to your eyes to see whats on the display. The display is capable of displaying 256 colors, making it very competitive with other phones you might find nowadays. The display works fine both indoors and outdoors.

As for connectivity, the EF71 is capable of making Bluetooth and USB connections for device to device data transfer. USB and Bluetooth connections are fast. No complaints there. Now as for the internet, the phone is only capable of making GPRS Class 10 Internet connections. It is definitely faster than older GPRS connections. The phone is very stable while browsing the Internet. Not once did the phone crash while I was using it.

There is a built in 2.0-megapixel camera in the phone. Thats right. 2.0. thats equals very clear pictures. The pictures are even better than soma of the Nokia phones’ pictures. The phone comes with a MicroSD card slot and 24 MB of internal memory.

Dude this phone is awesome! The only problem I ever faced with this phone is the volume controls are not so responsive, especially when the loud speaker is used. Other than that, this phone is perfect!

The Nikon D40 Digital Camera has been designed as a point to shoot SLR camera. It is a new compacted model with a low price. It has many characteristics reasonably dissimilar to D50 series which it follows. Many people have the curiosity to find out if Nikon has compromised with the features of its predecessor D50 series. The novel sensor provided in D40 camera is fast, but it has only limited flexibility. The probable reason for this is that it is impossible to change average CW area. There is no bracket provided in the new model. If LCD monitor is not provided in the camera that could save the cost. Nikon advocates that they made the smaller camera, but many people don’t agree to it.

Nikon D40 is suggested as a user friendly camera. You have to only focus on the object or scene you like to shoot and Nikon D40 camera’s technologies will do the remaining things for you.

New Sony Ericsson Cybershot camera phone is most advanced ever.

Do you hate when your Sidekick or iPhone camera pics come out less than professional? Sony’s new development, the C905 Cyber-shot camera phone is coming to the rescue. With so many new features, including a real live Cybershot camera on the flip side of the phone, it’s super slick and cool. In addition to the C905, Sony is releasing a slightly cheaper but equal quality camera phone in the S302 snapshot. Both phones boast a slick design in many colors, pocket sized portability, and the backing of the prestigious Sony name.

I, personally, am just spitting out my milk and cookies in anticipation of these new camera phones. Everyone who is anyone knows that Sony is the leader, while pricey, in all things electronic. I try whenever I can to buy all my favorite things (I’m a tech head) from them. I have a Sony VAIO laptop, a Cyber shot camera, the home speakers system, and a Handycam. So if I do say so myself, I will be picking up this when it drops. My favorite is the C905 cyber shot, it has 8.1 mega pixels, looks just like a real cameras, and includes xenon flash. Auto face detection, a 2.4 LCD display, a USB adaptor, and Wi-Fi, its just the best thing since sliced bread.

Using this phone can cut down on the junk in your trunk, which if you are a tech head like me, I’m sure you have. The backpack or bag filled with your laptop, camera, cell phone, Ipod, money, keys. This way you can have your phone and eat it to, take pictures right with your phone and be able to upload it to your blog immediately. Awesome!

How much this phone will amount to, no one knows yet. But, I think it is worth it. If you can spend $700 on an Apple iPhone, you can definitely fork over some cash for the C905 cyber shot. This camera phone will blow all your others out the water. I am seriously considering abandoning my loyalty to the Sidekick series even though it’s new phone is being released July 16 with video capabilities. Just a few of its phone features includes

Motivation for My New Year’s Resolutions

What happened to my New Year’s Resolutions? We all had good intentions when we made our resolutions on New Year’s Eve. What now? The resolutions have been made, but you have not found the motivation to implement them. There is a rule of thumb that says it takes 30 days to get a new routine to become a habit. So, after deciding on your routine, where does the motivation come from to stick to it for 30 days? This means that you have to make a resolution to have your resolutions become a habit! There are times we have to out-smart our own way of doing things and this is one that works for us. Motivation is the key to keeping our resolutions. Motivation is also the one thing that most of us suffer from.

Once we realize what happened to our new year’s resolutions is that we have not done anything towards getting them started, we have to either forget it or implement a plan. Following is a simple three step plan that will get your resolutions started and give you the motivation you need throughout the year.

Most resolutions are to lose weight which usually combines exercise and diet. However, our ideas will give you the motivation you need for any resolutions that have been made. It all begins with using a binder which you fill with notes about your plan and how it is working for you.

Step One

Step one is to find the diet that appeals to you. Once you have accomplished this, write down why this diet appeals to you and put the notes in a binder. Once a week or so, go through the binder to remind yourself why you chose your diet. And keep notes of how the diet is working for you. These notes become invaluable in keeping motivation high while trying to make new habits in your life. Use a highlighter to bring out the most important points of your plan.

Step Two

Step two is to find the recipes that you want to try. Make copies of the recipes for your binder so that you can put stars, hearts or exclamation points to rate them according to taste and preparation time. You want to know which recipes to use again. And when you make your shopping list for your recipes, always make a note of which recipe the ingredients are for. This accomplishes two things. One is so you know that you have everything you need for when it is time to fix the recipe. The second is so you will remember which recipes you purchased the ingredients for. It is such a shock to have everything out on the kitchen counter but not know which recipe it is for. Don’t laugh, it happens!!

It is surprising how often you go to the kitchen to fix something, you know you purchased the ingredients, but you can’t remember which recipe it was that you planned on fixing. These kinds of things happen that make it hard to create new habits in our lives. The list is also handy to have on hand when you are in the kitchen pulling everything out to prepare the recipe. And last but not least, if you like the recipe, then you will want to have the shopping list ready for your next shopping trip.

Step Three

Step three is to decide on an exercise program. Some people choose specific exercises for specific body parts and add other exercises to affect the whole body such as cardiovascular exercises. A fun way to find what exercises appeal to you is to go through YouTube videos. Once you find the exercises that appeal to you, exercising with the videos also makes it entertaining. You can put together a program specifically for you and your tastes. And since you are picking from many different videos, you can make your exercise program diverse so that it never gets boring for you.

Using YouTube videos also saves money from purchasing videos or joining the gym. We find that exercising at home is easier and encourages us to stay more motivated. We like to incorporate exercise throughout the day. Most of us are also more likely to exercise if we don’t have to look in the mirror to make sure our gym outfit looks okay, our hair is combed and we have gasoline in the car to get to the gym. In the time it takes to get ready to go to the gym, we can have a good thirty minute routine completed.

Stay Motivated the Easy Way

Continue to make notes in your binder about the exercises you are doing and what you feel you have gained from them. These notes will keep you motivated during the 30 days of making all of these changes into a habit. Photos can be added along with pictures from magazines to keep it interesting. We have pictures of clothes we want to wear when we have reached our weight goal. The front of our binder has a photo of an organized closet. This photo reminds us that we are organized but not finished yet. We are a work in progress. And, be sure to mark your calendar 30 days from the day you start exercising. By the time you find that mark again, you will be enjoying your new habits and feeling good about yourself.
