We have been extremely happy with this high chair – our daughter has been sitting in it since she could sit up on her own – about 4 months old. She absolutely loves it – loves to be at the table with us. Takes up so little space and blends in with the rest of our dining set. We did get the baby seat – made us feel like she was more secure in it. We also received one of the cushion sets as a gift – the one with the colorful animals on it – it is water proof and wipes off with a wet sponge.

We will be buying a second one for our second baby due in June.

I recently visited some friends who have a 4 year old and they said they wished they had bought a stokke from the start since they ended up buying a traditional high-chair that didn’t last and they had to end up buying a booster seat later for their 4.5 year old.

May seem expensive, but look at the cost of a more traditional high chair plus the cost of a booster chair later…
I have 2 children 2 years apart. i bought one chair when my oldest was 2 1/2-ish and I needed the highchair he was still using for my then nine month old daughter. i have a small home and only enough space for a breakfast table. i needed the extra chairs for guests. so it was worth it to me to buy an additional chair for my child. also i read one reviewer who said that kids will sqirm less and be interested in their food if the chair they sit it fits them well. i think that is true. my kids are now 6 and four each of them has a chair that fits them well AND that they have always been able to climb into and out of themselves. I think this is important for their sense of self reliance. The chairs are durable and look brand new still.

I have two complaints and they are small (and this is why fours stars instead of five): 1) the sticker on the back with the warnings is ugly and has to be removed with goo gone takes a good half hour. 2) the straps never worked right, i never used them and eventually took them off. I could not adjust them properly and the kids would struggle to get out for only the reason that they felt confined. both of my kids have fallen out of their seats without injury- i believe this is part of childhood and they learn very quickly to sit properly. the seat itself has never toppled- EVER.

because i found the straps useless i recommend that you not use this seat until the child is able to climb up on his or her own. like at age 2 or more. these chairs are pricy but the cost of replacing our nice dining chair (which is part of a matched set) after it is scratched/stained from having a booster seat attached to it is probably comprable.

My advice is this: spend your money on the items that you use everyday- seats like these, rockingchairs/furnishings, quality cribs and sheets, quality adaptive equipement like stools and toilet inserts. get things that will hold up and feel secure for children to use. the added benefit is that when you are done with them and have enjoyed using them they have life left in them and you can sell them for a fair price at your next garage sale etc.

ps. I don’t have the cushions. just one more thing to wash. i don’t feel they are necessary for comfort or anything. Garmin Halterung für Fahrrad, Edge Vorsicht !! totaler Schrott-Gefahr von Totalverlust – U. Simon –
Bin gestern mit MTB gefahren (Radwege)und wollte bei einem Stop meinen Edge 705 von der Halterung lösen. Beim Runterdrücken des Plastikhebels der Arretierung, brach dieser am vorderen Ende ab. Daraufhin sah ich, daß er an einer anderen Stelle auch bereits gebrochen war. Das Teil ist viel zu filigran, der Kunststoff wird spröde und bricht bei niedrigen Temperaturen. Ein Totalverlust dieses wirklich guten Geräts droht.

Ist das eine Sollbruchstelle oder hat die Ingenieurskunst nicht mehr zu bieten?

The Guild is funny and sweet. Over the top characters that are, um, actually pretty real. My non-gaming sister laughed as hard as I did and my big-time-gamer teenage played the DVD for all his friends. Fun to own the video and see all the bonus material. So glad I splurged!!

Stokke Tripp Trapp® Highchair Cherry Love this highchair. We bought it after much deliberation, mostly because it is a bit pricey. Our 18 month old daughter climbed straight up and sat in it. She LOVES that she can get in herself, and the harness is good enough that she can only get out if I undo her. We bought it without the cushion, and she seems perfectly comfortable without it.

I love having her right up at the table with us, and that it fits in with our dining decor. It is so easy to clean and although there have been some negative reviews about the possibility of it tipping over backwards, we attached the enclosed leg extenders (as per the instructions) and it seems perfectly safe. She hasn’t so much as lifted the front legs off the floor, even if she pushes on the table it just slides backwards (on polished floors, cannot comment on carpet)

I would highly recommend this chair, it is so well made and grows with your child, so it is far more than a highchair. Best of all, it is made in Slovakia, not China! This review is for the baby set only. I do like the trip trap highchair.
I am disappointed with the baby set. My son is 5 months old and just began rice cereal. I was worried about strapping him in with out the baby set. I purchased the baby set and it is so hard to get his legs in and out the the chair. It is similar to pulling a child out of those harness swings at the park.
The highchair itself is great and I am so pleased with how well he looks in it and the support it gives him.

I JUST DON’T THINK YOU NEED TO SPEND THE 70.00 FOR THE BABY SET.
