Dime It
The late great Dimebag Darrell is a serious metal guitar hero, and Dean’s series of Dimebag models pays homage. Dimebag started playing Dean ML style guitars in the late ’70s, and made it one of the most recognizable shapes today. Dean offers a wide variety of Dimebag models to choose from, all boasting Dimebag’s distinctive look and tons of mojo and attitude.

Mahogany Body
Dean uses a mahogany body for this beast (as with many of its guitars). Mahogany is a common choice for electrics, dependably delivering a warm, full tone with plenty of punch and sustain.

And of course there’s the Cemetery Gates finish, sure to inspire some shredding.

Set Neck Construction
The Razorback Cemetery Gates features a set mahogany neck, which imparts all the well-known advantages of that style: a warmer overall tone with extended low-end response, wicked sustain, and easy upper-fret access. The 24-3/4-inch scale neck features a rosewood fingerboard with classic dot inlays.

Seymour Duncan Dimebucker Bridge Pickup
Seymour’s SH-13 Dimebuckers were designed with the man himself to provide serious output and an aggressive tone. The Dimebucker uses a powerful ceramic magnet and stainless steel blades for serious crunch. The SH-13 boasts more treble bite than a lot of humbuckers, along with low-end punch and exceptional dynamics.

A Dean humbucker completes the package up in the neck position, each pickup getting its own volume conrol, along with a shared tone and three-way toggle.

Davon konnte ich mich wieder einmal überzeugen. Seine schmelzige Stimme, egal welcher Titel – mir gefällt er immer.
Ein Cronner zeichnet sich durch die etwas monotone, lockere und auch flüssige Art zu singen aus. Eine Baritonstimme ist eine Voraussetzung, um diese Songs auf eine sehr “männliche” Art zu interpretieren. Schliesslich soll die Musik nicht nur Frauen ansprechen. Dean Martin hat sich nicht nur aus diesen Gründen beim Singen an die männlichen Zuschauer gerichtet. Dazu gehört auch das Auftreten, welches immer ein wenig cool ist, voller Würde und mit der nötigen Eleganz. Crooning ist eben mehr als nur das Singen von Wörtern.

Hier handelt es sich um eine Zusammenstellung seiner grössten Hits. Als langjähriger Dean Martin-Fan kann ich jedem Interessenten versichern, dass es sich hier nur um Original-Aufnahmen und Original-Hits handelt. Speziell an dieser Zusammenstellung ist, dass man hier die Hits von Capitol und auch die grossen Hits der 60 Jahre von Reprise findet. Alle bekannten Hits von Everybody loves somebody (übrigens die richtige Hitversion), That’s amore, Memories are made of this, Volare, You’re nobody till somebody loves you, Standing on the corner, Kiss, If, Send me the pillow that you dream on und Houston sind auf dieser CD. Für mich ganz klar die beste Zusammenstellung seiner Songs auf einer einzigen CD.

Wer ein wenig mehr von Dean Martin möchte, kann ich nur die Original-Alben z.B. von Reprise empfehlen. Das sind immer 2 Alben auf einer CD und das zu einem tollen Preis. So kann man in die jeweilige Zeit eintauchen und anhand von Original-Alben das Feeling von Dean Martin noch besser geniessen. Aber wer eben nur ein Album von Dean Martin kaufen möchte oder mit diesem Album seiner Sammlungs starten möchte, sollte einfach hier zuschlagen. Das ist richtige Wahl. Es gibt keine bessere CD. Ein Abend vor dem Kamin, ein Glas Wein, seine liebste im Arm und dazu Dean Martin hören. Mehr gibt es auf dieser Welt nicht. Zugreifen, es lohnt sich!
