I learned a lot from this book. Spencer explains the concepts of feedings and forcebacks. He makes a strong argument that natural variations are a better explanation than CO2 emissions for the recent warming of the planet. He points out, correctly, that the climate models are often flawed–due to the lack of understanding of the effect of clouds on the temperature. If you are open-minded on the subject of global warming, I recommend this book. My only complaint with Spencer in this book was that he mentioned polling data on global warming, which as a scientist he should know is irrelevant. The debate continues, contra Al Gore.
