I’ve had this unit for two or three weeks now and so far it’s working pretty much as advertised. The remote can be a little quirky but I haven’t had the experience some others have had.
DLO has a firmware upgrade for this unit but be aware that the updating software does not work on Windows 7. Fortunately, I also have a Windows XP machine and was able to install the updates.
The dock works fine with both my iPod Touch and my regular (5th gen) iPod. Video output seems just fine, though I don’t have high expectations for video coming out of an iPod. But I’m not really using it for video anyway.
As another reviewer noted, this unit doesn’t seem to charge the iPod Touch though it does charge my other iPod.
I bought mine from one of the other sellers on Amazon. I got it “new” for .99 so from my point of view, this was the best iPod accessory I’ve bought. I say “new” because it didn’t seem to me that the package looked new. Plus, the cables, etc. were loose in the box and not tied up with wire ties or packaged in plastic bags as one would expect with a new product. But all the parts were there and it works. For I can’t complain.
