Be aware: this nas is piece of crap – Wouter Maes – Belgium
I bought it for it’s cheap price, but it’s a piece of crap

- After firmware update, I lost ALL data on second disk in raid1, it’s a known bug
- It’s slow as hell, yes it has a gigabit connection, but why? I get max 18MB/s download and 10MB/s upload, if I do nothing else on the nas, If I download some torrents, it’s even slower then that!
- NO support from company, I found out it hires another company to write the firmware, but only partime, so no fulltime firmware development, even with a lot of known bugs.
- company promises a lot, but that’s all lies.
- don’t believe all the specs and features mentioned on the xtreamer/etrayz website, lots of them don’t exist: photoalbum, user management, JBOD disk setup, mutliple usb devices (only 1 usb device support, so no usb hub), printers work randomly for 1 day and after that it stops printing over network – non of it exists or works as it should be
- etc etc etc

PLEASE be aware that your data will NOT be safe on the internal disk(s)
, and if any doubt, visit their [...] and read all complaints from other users (and be aware there is a lot of censorship for the really anoying complaints, they just ban people for complaining to much on the forum)

Xtreamer Media Player & Streamer 500GB

Xtreamer Media Player & Streamer 500GBXtreamer.net: Videos, Fotos und Musikdateien bezieht der Xtreamer sowohl aus dem Netzwerk als auch von einer Festplatte. Für die Netzwerkverbindung nutzt der Xtreamer das UPnP-Protokoll. Als internes Speichermedium kommt jede 2,5-Zoll-Festplatte mit SATA-Anschluss in Frage – im Lieferumfang ist jedoch kein Laufwerk enthalten. Externe Festplatten docken an den beiden USB-Buchsen an. Außerdem kann der Xtreamer auf ausgewählte Internetangebote wie CNN zugreifen. Die Verbindung zum Fernseher erfolgt am Besten per HDMI-Verbindung (Version 1.3a, max. 1080p). Alternativ steht ein Cinch-Videoausgang zur Verfügung, über den allerdings nur Standard-Auflösung verfügbar ist. Ein optischer Digitalausgang komplettiert die Anschlüsse. WLAN beherrscht der Xtreamer erst mit einem zusätzlichen USB-Adapter, dann aber im aktuellen 802.11n-Standard. Hallo Amazon Kunden!

Mein alter Fernseher ist kaputt gegangen! Neuen gekauft (Panasonic XT-P42GW10)
Nun bin ich im HDTV Zeitalter angekommen!
Einen BlueRay-Player habe ich noch nicht und wollte trotzdem FullHD genießen können.

Die SAT-Kanäle kommen ja erst… nach und nach…

Ich habe mir viele Produkte im Internet dieser Kategorie angesehen und musste feststellen das die Produktpalette genauso umfagreich ist, wie z.B. Handys/Fernsehgeräte/DVD-Player/Computer…etc.

Das passende für meine Bedürfnisse zu finden ist garnicht einfach!

Dann habe ich mir den XTreamer empfehlen lassen …und bestellt.

WOW! Das Gerät ist die WUCHT in TÜTEN!

Es kann einfach alles! Auch MKV-Dateien (BlueRay bzw. FullHD) flüssig!

(Das schafft nichtmal mein alter PC (P4HT 2,6Ghz mit WinXP)!

Habe den Xtreamer zusammen mit 500Gb(2,5″)Platte und WLAN Stick bestellt!

Installation und SoftwareUpdate verlief reibungslos! (trotz ohne Bedienungsanleitung!)
…Und (fast) ohne Probleme mit meinem PC und WEB verbunden.
Das (fast) bezieht sich allerdings auf meinen neueren PC(Win7Pro). Der wollte nicht so richtig…
Auch TV und Radiokanäle über das WWWeb ist kein Problem…einfach nur durch-ZAPPEN…

Darüber hinaus gibt es noch viele andere Gadgets..RSSFeeds/Wetter uvm…

Das Menü erklärt sich zum größten Teil selbst.

Bei Problemen(eigendlich nur zum Thema “Wie bekomme ich Windows dazu sich mit meinem Xtreamer zu verbinden”), hilft das Forum der Hersteller gut weiter!
Ein paar “BUGS” hat die Xtreamer-Software schon, aber es gibt abhilfe, den die Software wird Ständig weiterentwickelt.

Den eingebauten Lüfter hört man kaum…mich stört das jedenfalls nicht…

Alles in allem bin ich mit dem Preisleistungsverhältnis sehr zufrieden… und sage deshalb…
