Die Durdane Trilogie (Der Mann ohne Gesicht – Der Kampf um Durdane – Die Asutra) : Jenseits des Sternhaufens Skiafarilla liegt Durdane, ein Planet, der um ein
System aus drei Sonnen kreist. Die Welt wurde vor vielen Jahrtausenden von
Menschen besiedelt; die einheimischen Ahulph, wölfische halbintelligente
Zweifüßler, wurden in die Wildländer zurückgedrängt oder gezähmt und zum
Arbeiten abgerichtet. Die guten Böden Shants, des größten Kontinents des
Planeten, gehören den menschlichen Siedlern, deren Zivilisation auf ein fast
vortechnologisches Niveau abgesunken ist, denn es gibt kaum Metall auf
Durdane.
Mur, der Sohn der Klosterdirne Eathre aus dem Rhododendronweg,
weigert sich, ins Kloster der Chiliten einzutreten. Er nennt sich trotzig
Gastel Etzwane und will Musiker werden. Als man ihm Gewalt antut, flieht er.
Doch er ist vorgelfrei, denn er trägt keinen der Halsreife, mit denen der
Mann ohne Gesicht, der Herrscher von Shant, seine Untertanen regiert, mit
denen er jedem Gesetzesbrecher den Kopf nehmen kann.
Gastel macht sich auf die Suche nach dem Mann ohne Gesicht und trifft Ifness, einen “Entwicklungshelfer” von der
Erde. Bei dem setzt er durch, dass er mit ihm eine Expedition nach Caraz unternimmt, um dem
Geheimnis der halbmenschlichen Rogushkoi auf die Spur zu kommen, die einer
merkwürdigen intelligenten Insektenrasse als Wirtswesen dienen: den Asutra.
Wurden die Rogushkoi deshalb aus Menschen gezüchtet, um sie als
wirksame Waffen gegen die menschliche Rasse einzusetzen? Gastel Etzwane
glaubt auf der richtigen Spur zu sein, doch sein Begleiter von der Erde
steht der Entwicklung der Dinge seltsam interesselos gegenüber. Auf sich
allein gestellt, geht er seinen Weg, um das Rätsel der Asutra zu lösen.

I much rather prefer Dr. Richard Swenson’s Margin Margin: Restoring Emotional, Physical, Financial, and Time Reserves to Overloaded Lives.
Loving the sinner to repentance for the Kingdom of God is the calling of all of us in ministry; however, the author of this book clearly supports even the most perverse of sexual abberations and cannot be relied upon for advice on spiritual matters for those called to spiritual and holy calling in ministry of God’s Love AND TRUTH. I prefer the great book “Margin” by Dr. Richard Swenson from a man who is not only medically trained but also does not give up the rights of holy spiritually in favor of the fad of the day as this author unfortunately does. May God guide the author back to repentance to Truth and Love as the calling of all of us in “ministry” of Christ to all sinners who are in desperate need of God’s Love as we all cry out “I am the chief of sinners LORD, Have Mercy on me” in our burnout phases and restore me to the Joy of my Salvation unto the fullness of Your Grace and Love. And may we all find the Joy and Love available to those of us who abide in our calling to Holy Love.

Practical advice is provided on good self-care practices that can aid clergy in regaining balance and self-control. This book has valuable information for clergy and others who work in ministry.
