Just like everything exercising for most people goes through peaks and valleys. After you initially start exercising and seeing results it is pretty easy to stay motivated for a while. The compliments that you receive about your appearance and also how well you feel because of exercising keeps you motivated after that initial period of success. How do you stay motivated after that first bout with success and the gains that you have been obtaining aren't coming quite so easily anymore? In this article we will look at a few ways to help you stay motivated.
Analyze Why You Are Exercising. True exercising makes you look and feel good, but the ultimate purpose of exercising is to maintain and improve your health. When I have a hard time getting motivated to go to the gym I try to remind myself that I am exercising for my prolonged health. Basically, I want to be healthy when I am older and this is probably the main for purpose for me exercising. I realize that the more that I work on my health now the better chance I have to be healthier in my later years in life. Face it if you don't use your muscles they lose coordination and strength. My goal is to build up my body so I can continue to do the activities that I currently do (eg. fish, ride my bike, dance) when I am in my 70's and above.
Throw Variety in Your Exercising Plan. Becoming bored with something is part of human nature and is something that can be hard to avoid while exercising. It is true that some people can do the same exercise routine for months and even years, but the majority of us need some variation in there. At various times in my life I have been heavily into weight lifting, running and biking. Even though I love those types of exercises I realized by exploring other type of exercising the variety helped stimulate me when I kind of hit the wall on a particular exercise. Now I throw in an occasional swim in the pool, game of racquetball or even an exercise class to kind of refresh myself. A good motto to have is to always try and find new things because the variety in exercising can help us get past those walls.
Exercise Smarter Not Longer. When I first started exercising I thought I had to put in long hours in the gym to receive any benefits. What I have realized is that I need to keep my workouts fast and upbeat. Typically I work out over my noon hour so there isn't time for a long drawn out workout. I have to hit the weightroom and the cardiovascular room and keep moving. Sometimes when we hit the wall and don't want to go to the gym part of it may be that we are simply exercising too long and that if we exercised harder for a short period of time we can actually derive the same or more benefits than you can have with a longer workout. I call this working out smarter not longer.
I know there are people out there who always feel like going to the gym, but a majority of people have motivational problems every once in a while. One thing that a former coach taught me about doing things in life was that anyone can talk their self out doing something, but the real successful people in this world don't allow themselves to do this. Hopefully, these tips will help keep you motivated in your exercise routine.

Lucrative Business Opportunity Stories

Some would say Cathy Wagner has her head in the clouds and they would be right. Working from her home office, situated in the beautiful San Juan mountains of southwest Colorado, Wagner has an expansive view that stimulates all of her senses.
Wagner is an energetic entrepreneur, wife, and mother of two who runs a successful internet business. Wagner begins by stating, “If someone had told me fifteen years ago, I would be living in the mountains and operating a successful business from home, I never would have believed them.” Wagner flashes a smile that lights up the room as she walks toward her office window. “The mountain views are spectacular and have given me a better perspective on how expansive our world really is.”
Life hasn't always been sweet smelling sage and mountain vistas for this successful entrepreneur. Originally from Philadelphia, Wagner began working in her teenage years and spent most of her twenties exploring various career opportunities.
“I believe variety is the spice of life. I have worked as a movie theatre projectionist, bartender, and massage therapist,” proclaims Wagner. “I love a good challenge and enjoy taking on totally new things and learning new skills. When I was 25, I sold historical letters and envelopes to collectors. The job was way outside my comfort zone, but I became very good at it and was invited to relocate to central Colorado when the owner decided to move. In fact, that job provided me with the confidence to start my own business.”
Wagner met her husband, Mark, in 1995. Seven months later they were married. Wagner and her husband returned to Philadelphia in 1998, after she became pregnant with their first child.
“We wanted to be near my family when the baby arrived, so we packed our belongings and headed east,” states Wagner. “My twin sister had been working from home designing graphics and creating business presentations. I began working with her on a part-time basis, while I stayed home with my new baby.” Wagner beams as she points to a picture of her daughter.
After spending a year in Pennsylvania, the Wagner's longed for mountain vistas and made the decision to return to Colorado. Wagner recalls, “We put every dime we had into moving and securing a place to live and headed for Colorado on a wing and a prayer. With a sixteen month old baby and no savings account, we knew that we would both need to find work as soon as we arrived.” Wagner sighs as she recalls the challenges that came with the move.
Most of the jobs in this Colorado small town don't pay very much. It didn't take Wagner long to figure out that she would be working only to pay the daycare expense for her daughter. Wagner exclaims, “It seemed ridiculous for me to work 40 hours a week only to pay someone else to care for our daughter, so I decided I needed to find a job where I could work from home.”
As Wagner points to an antiquated computer sitting in the corner of her office she proudly states, “That was my first computer.” Smiling from ear to ear, she walks over and hugs what she refers to as her 'lifesaver'.
The computer looks like it should be in a museum, yet Wagner insists it is still operational. Beaming with pride she proclaims, “I rebuilt this computer one piece at a time. During my rebuild process, I became pregnant with our second child. It wasn't until October 2000 before it was finally ready and I was thrilled to be on my way!”
Armed with a great deal of enthusiasm and entrepreneurial spirit, Cathy Wagner set out to find the perfect work-at-home business opportunity. It didn't take long for her to find one that offered the moon.
“I was so excited about this opportunity!” Wagner scoots to the end of her chair and becomes animated in her description of the company offer. “All I had to do was promote their product line and the money would start rolling in!” Wagner rolls her eyes, recalling how naïve she was. “The reason this opportunity was so appealing, was because I was told it wouldn't cost a dime to promote. As I set out promoting their products utilizing “free” advertising methods, I soon discovered there was a catch.”
“These free methods required me to sign up and promote them in order to get the most from their service. Take it from me, people who go down this path eventually find themselves desperately trying to promote ten or more opportunities and end up suffering from burn out,” Wagner states.
Wagner soon realized she was spending good money after bad to promote the company's product and decided it was time for education. She scoured the web for information on how to start a business. She checked out books from the library and became absorbed in learning about marketing.
A few months later, Wagner contacted her sister, who created a simple web site design and showed her how to make changes to it. She spent countless hours researching how to write effective sales copy, build a web site, and utilize marketing techniques. When she finished, she had created One Stop Internet Business Services, a free resource center for internet marketers.
“A lesson I quickly learned was writing effective ad copy is a talent, or an art.” Wagner flips through a stack of sales copy written for her clients. “It's taken me six years to get to this point. I had no formal training as a writer. In fact, I didn't even realize I could write until I started One Stop.”
Wagner began by writing advertisements and later went on to write articles about internet marketing and business opportunities, as well as providing general knowledge. In recent years, she has written several electronic books for entrepreneurs.
Wagner extracts a folder from her desk drawer and retrieves a piece of paper. She glances at the papers and states, “This was my first attempt at writing an ad. It's horrible, but I keep it to remind myself just how far I've come. Most people who are new to internet marketing feel overwhelmed and confused. They don't have a clue about writing ads and become discouraged because their ads aren't getting a response. That's where I come in.”
In 2003, Wagner stumbled across an online business networking forum. “Let me tell you, that was an exciting day for me!” Wagner's eyes light up as she tells how this event helped to launch One Stop. “I discovered a camaraderie that I never knew existed. Here, I found a group of people who were doing the same thing as me. I really enjoyed meeting and talking with other people. The fellowship helped build my confidence because I realized that people really appreciated the information I was sharing in the forum.”
The connections she made led to new business opportunities and Wagner soon found herself hosting marketing information chats. Within a short period of time, she had established herself as an internet marketing expert. Her credibility helped grow her business to a point where she felt comfortable charging a membership fee for the resources and information she provided at One Stop.
“When I began charging a membership fee, I contacted my sister to help create a brand new site,” states Wagner. “I had to learn how to maintain a bigger site. I experimented with the membership structure, always searching for the right combination that would provide the level of income I desired, while keeping fees affordable for budding entrepreneurs. Unfortunately, sales were sluggish no matter what I tried.”
In an attempt to reduce expenses, Wagner moved her site to a cheaper hosting service. After paying the annual fee upfront, she experienced numerous technical issues and found it difficult to obtain support. A few months later, her site simply disappeared and she was never able to retrieve it.
“I think that was one of the worst moments ever,” affirms Wagner. “I was never able to contact them. I lost my money, my website and a tremendous amount of time. You can bet I insisted on talking to my next host personally.”
When asked what she tells her clients about web hosting, Wagner claims, “The best way to find a reliable web host is to get a solid recommendation. Personally contact a potential hosting company, preferably by phone. Ask a lot of questions. The tone and speed of their responses will be a very good indication of the service you can expect after you sign up. Do your homework before signing a contract and ALWAYS make sure you have a back-up copy of your work!”
When Wagner lost her phone service for several weeks, she resorted to using library computers. “If it hadn't been for the fact that I had to care for my children, I probably would have thrown in the towel and looked for a job,” Wagner confesses. “The truth of the matter is, childcare expense was too prohibitive and I had to find a way to make this work.”
Her children are now in school, which frees up more time for Wagner to focus on her business. “I think trying to work in a home office with children around has been one of my biggest challenges. It's really hard to concentrate when you hear “Mom!” every few minutes,” Wagner proclaims. “On the one hand, I need to stay focused on my business. On the other, I need to be able to tend to my children's needs when they arise. Like all mothers, I am constantly looking for techniques that will help me with the never-ending balancing act.”
As Wagner continued working with her web site, she realized that her webmaster skills were a product in and of themselves. As she became more comfortable with her abilities, Wagner began offering web design services. The results were better than expected and she began to rethink her business plan.
During the reorganization period, Wagner realized that while many people won't pay for resource recommendations (no matter how good they are), they are willing to pay for honest and attentive help with web site tasks they are unable to handle on their own.
“Today I can handle almost any type of web site project a client brings to me,” claims Wagner. “I've assembled an awesome team of people who are experts in areas that I am not, such as Flash Animation. No matter what the project is, my team and I are capable of handling it.”
Wagner beams her smile again as she opens a file cabinet drawer bursting with folders. “These are some of the projects we have worked on this year,” Wagner boasts. “My business is finally producing the results I had been looking for all this time. Last year's income was five times that of the year before and this year, I am on track to more than double what I made last year.”
While money is an important factor, Wagner finds customer satisfaction just as rewarding. “I love it when I deliver a finished project and can hear the delight in the customer's voice,” Wagner exclaims. “Recently, I worked with a partner to create a flash animation web site and the end result was greater than any of us expected. I remember thinking to myself, you've come a long way baby!”
Wagner's clients feel the same way. Denise Michaels, renowned author of “Testosterone Free Marketing” claims, “Cathy is sharp, on the ball, and speaks English rather than Techno-geek. She is a dream to work with and I recommend her highly.”
Viveca Stone-Berry, author and founder of FatigueBeGone.com, states “I love working with Cathy. She has a way of taking my copy and turning it into marketing magic that really gets my message across. Her simplest changes have brought significant results in newsletter registrations and increased page views.”
What advice does Cathy Wagner offer to women who want to work from home, while raising children? Wagner suggests, “While it can be a struggle to keep things balanced, it can be done. I feel like I am living proof that it's possible to do whatever one wants in life. The most important thing you can do is create a plan, set goals, and take action to get to your destination.”
Wagner also encourages women to never give up. “Always remember that it's not about being perfect, it's about balance,” Wagner advises. “It’s important to regularly take time for yourself and to stay positive. Most of all learn as much as possible from others to shorten your journey toward success.”
Looking back, Wagner is glad that she didn't have money to invest when she began because it forced her to get creative and learn skills on her own. If she had been able to hire a webmaster, she would have never discovered her own hidden talents.
Cathy finishes off by saying, “I am very proud of my accomplishments and the business I have created. When people work with me they know I will deliver on my promise. Just because I am a work-at-home-entrepreneur with children, doesn't mean I can't provide excellent work. Just ask my clients.”

If you choose to seek work at home opportunities online, you need to be aware of the scams and get rich quick schemes. While the saying is true in most cases you need to spend money to make money, you should never pay for a work at home job. If you decide to go with a reputable direct sales company (for example Mary Kay, Avon, Tupperware, Arbonne, Shaklee, Watkins), sometimes you are required to purchase a kit to get started. Before ever giving any of your money away, always check with the Better Business Bureau. You can research a company online by visiting www.bbb.org.
Some popular scams to avoid:
* Make money stuffing envelopes
* Mystery Shoppers (some are legitimate, many are not)
* Data Entry (requiring application fees and software to purchase)
* Product Assembly (most of the time, no matter what you do they find a reason NOT to pay you for your time and effort, and you are require to pay money upfront)
* Any pitch that sounds to good to be true. You will find there are many ads stating by purchasing their product or system you will be shown how to make $10,000.00 or more a month in no time.
Additional Resources:
* http://www.etsy.com: Online site to sell your handmade wares.
* http://www.ebay.com: Online site to sell products and services (new, used, handmade)
* http://www.associatedcontent.com: Get paid to write articles (great place for beginning freelancers)
* http://www.lulu.com: self publishing site for artists and authors
* http://www.cafepress.com: create and sell customized merchandise
Once you decide on what type of business you want to pursue, be sure to consult an attorney and an accountant to find out what steps you need to take to set up your business, to protect yourself legally, and how to handle filing your taxes. You want to make sure you do it the right way from the start. This will save you both time and money in the long run.
Exercise:
Deciding what type of business you want to start is not a decision that should be taken lightly. Take your time and do your research. Choose a couple of options and make a list of pros and cons for each potential business idea. Make another list of your personal strengths and weaknesses. Compare your lists, and this will give you a good indication of what type of business is right for you.

Perhaps you are looking to top up your current or existing income or perhaps you are looking to earn more money from home. Whatever the reason for that extra bit of money working at home is most peoples dream!
Here are a few ways you can make money from home.
1. ARTICLE WRITING. If you like writing then article writing could be ideal for you. If you feel you have a good grammatical and vocabulary knowledge then this might be right up your alley or street.
You could write articles for magazines, blogs, websites, article directories and much more. Research opportunities both online and offline and find something to suit both you and your needs and wants. Please remember not to fall foul to work at home–get rich quick schemes, these just don't work and you will end up losing both your time and money.
2. PAINT AND SELL YOUR OWN ARTWORK. If you are a little bit creative then why not design, paint and sell your own artwork. You could sell your masterpieces from home, online or at local galleries. Create and sell work from your own blog/s and website/s. Another alternative to this money making idea is that you could work on commission for small businesses for example. You could create commission based pieces for anyone and everyone to earn you extra income and supplement your earnings.
3. WRITE AND SELL YOUR OWN BOOKS AND EBOOKS. You could make money by writing, producing and selling your own physical and paper based books. Sell your products both online and offline and through your local media and press. An alternative to writing and selling your own books and products could be that you work and act as a ghost-writer, whereby you get paid to write on behalf of someone else. Advertise your services in local directories as well as online and offline directories.
4. START YOUR OWN MAIL ORDER or HOME PARTY BUSINESS. Buy and sell items through/by mail. You could either start your own small home based mail order business–party plan business or you could work for more of a well known companies/brands and earn commission for every party you host, for products you sell and so on.
5. BE A FREELANCE PHOTOGRAPHER. If you enjoy taking pictures then this could be the perfect opportunity for you as you could get paid to do something you enjoy. You could photograph individuals, or perhaps you could work for a number of small businesses on commission. Why not give this a go, try it out, build up a portfolio of pictures and photos alongside prices and get out there and find some paid work and opportunities.
PLEASE REMEMBER that these opportunities and ideas will not make you rich overnight, they are not guaranteed ways to get rich, as always with anything and everything you need to put in the time, work and effort to see any substantial and worthwhile results. Don't fall foul to get rich quick schemes, remember that if it looks to good to be true it probably is.
Good luck with earning extra income–money from home. I wish you every success.

Business planning is an important factor when you are launching your small business startup or online business, and you need to make sure you have documented your ideas thoroughly and objectively for each area. From financial projections to summaries and overviews, an effective business plan will help you and potential investors determine how valuable the business idea truly is. Most people make the mistake of thinking they don't need a business plan for an online business or startup; they think they can just launch first, and then put the pieces together as they move ahead. However, this can be a costly strategy and puts you at risk for some big mistakes. Business planning will help you organize your goals and keep you on track towards success. Here are some basic do's and don'ts for business planning:
Do write up the business plan summaries before filling out each area. The summary can serve as a basic guide, and can always be changed later if needed. You'll need to write up the general idea of what the section is about so you have a simple outline before getting into the details.
Don't analyze trends too early. While it's a good idea to do some market research and learn about your customers, determining market potential too early on can lead to poor decisions. Effective business planning requires that you find only the information that supports your ideas at this present moment, and then using solid financial projections for forecasting at a later date.
Do outline a marketing budget and plan. Your marketing plan doesn't have to be complex to be effective, and there are many ways you can work on promoting your business and developing a strong customer base. Make a list of at least 5-8 marketing objectives and strategies so that you can coordinate your marketing plan immediately from the startup of your business.
Don't share your business planning strategy or ideas with too many people. You want to make sure that your plans and information remain confidential until you are prepared to launch. Sharing your ideas with too many people can easily make you lose out on a great business opportunity.
Do include sales strategies and marketing tools you want to use. This will help you narrow down which approaches might be most effective for your business as you start out, and you can always build upon them as the business grows. Having these ideas in writing will help you keep track of your objectives with ease.
Don't include your background research or additional ideas within the final plan. Business planning does require some strategic reporting, and you don't have to 'publish' all of your research in the final plans. Take the time to weed out what is most important for you as you get going, and organize the plan as if you were going to be presenting it to a board for review. This will help you filter out what is necessary for the beginning phases of your small business startup, and what can wait for additional review at a later date.
Effective business planning takes time, patience, and strong research and organization skills but the effort is well worth it. Following some business planning basics is all you need to get started, and you can work on building up your plan with ease as the business grows.

The Following Story is from Associated Content and brought to you by Ray Graham Association
I have always been a helper personality. I remember being like this for many years. It started when I joined the military and had to learn to work with customer's military pay and travel reimbursements. It was a tough job. I worked 6 and 7 days 10 to 12 hours or more per day. In learning how to take care of other people's problems, I forgot how to take care of my own. I decided to get out of the military and finish my Degree in Computer Science, thinking that this would fix the problem. It did not. I ended up with different kinds of problems and the customers were still there. It seemed that I still had not found the solution I was seeking. Not that I do not like customers. I like people. I just don't like the kinds of people and problems that corporate America has to offer in a typical job. That and it does not matter how much your gross pay is, it always seems like there is someone else with their hand in your wallet. In April 2006, I chose one of the many internet home business opportunities available and started helping myself.
This internet business has reached a point where I think it is time to share some of my experiences, successes, and failures. I may be giving away some of my secrets, but feel that my home based business is so far ahead of the game that the reader may have quite a lot of catching up to do. With some of the hints and helps in this series, they may find it a little easier to start and maintain a successful internet home based business of their own. Only time will tell. I would not call mine entirely successful yet, but it is showing the signs, especially in the way of traffic.
The key to a successful online home based business is internet traffic. It is the lifeblood. Without it you do not stand a chance. I remember when I first started and everyone asked “when does the money start rolling in”? It doesn't. It trickles in at best unless you are lucky. It builds over time. I realized this early and started planning. I purchased some article submission software and joined an article writing club. I researched and found a number of hi PR article directories to submit my articles to and started submitting weekly. My main theme was internet home based business opportunities.
I knew that this was going to be a chore. When I ran the keywords “home based business” through the search engines, I saw a lot of competition like Entrepeneur.com, Boconline.com, AlbertaRose.org, and others. It was daunting. I chose a lesser theme “home based business opportunity” and started working on it. It took almost a year before my web pages showed up on page one of the search engines for this keyword phrase. Again, before it did, I saw the signs. I was getting keyword hits for variations of “home based business” including internet home based business opportunities. I was starting to make some money with Adsense and had the satisfaction of at least breaking even. This gave me the freedom to experiment with my articles and write about all of the various sub-topics around the theme “home based business”.
My motivation continues to increase with time. I see many who struggle and try to force “the truth” out of other forum members and experienced internet marketers. They may not be willing to give up their secrets because to do so would create competition for their own websites.
The truth is, internet marketing is a lot of hard work, no one is going to help you if you are not willing to work at it. and it will take time no matter what you find on the internet. That means that yes, many of the internet home based business opportunities out there are scams. It is up to you to determine which ones are and which ones are not. Call the rest what you want, but the only one you are really certain of is your own.
Leonard Bartholomew, B.S. Computer Science. Leonard invites you to investigate one of the many internet home based business opportunities the internet has to offer.

Internet marketing, when done improperly can be very tricky. Actually, for all intents and purposes if you're not doing it right you're throwing away either quality time, hard-earned money, or both.
Before entering the online business scene it will serve you well to keep in mind some pertinent questions that can help you focus on the things you should be doing in order to always further your business goals.
I can think of four questions that can help you spell 'success' with your business venture online, simply because the answers will always serve as a 'reality check' on whether or not you're going the right way, or if you're already 'lost in the forest'.
Addressing the answers to these questions can help you correct any deviations you're experiencing or will experience with your online undertaking.
So let's see what they are, shall we?
The Four Questions:
1. What is the right way to start an online business right now?
2. What should you be selling on the internet?
3. What specific strategies, methods, programs online really work, and which ones should you be using for your own set of circumstances?
4. How do I know whether your business is improving or not?
Let's go into some more detail about these questions:
THE RIGHT WAY TO START YOUR BUSINESS: If you're new to starting an online business you're probably becoming aware that if you're unable to control the number of information and offers that come your way you're going to suffer information overload. You reach a point where the number of choices just overwhelms you that you're undecided on what to do.
For a time it may even seem as if all the online “business opportunities” presented to you (or which you come across on the internet) are all good and worthy of your purchase. Beware! Starting your legitimate business right means not jumping from one business opportunity to the next until you know what business model you're going to go into. When you do this “jumping”, you're never going to be able to accomplish anything.
The business model you will have to adapt can be anything from retailing physical or digital products online, affiliate marketing or any form of it, but what matters is for you to focus your energies into building this one business model and making it work. Much more important is making it work NOW, not when “the conditions are right”, or when the “timing's perfect”. If you wait for that time to arrive it'll never come, and the internet is going to leave you behind.
WHAT SHOULD YOU SELL ON THE INTERNET? The internet has been dubbed as the information superhighway, so naturally people who surf the net are looking for information. So what's the best thing to sell on an information superhighway? You got it–information. Not just any type, mind you, but specialized information that a specific target market is yearning to know about.
Somehow, somewhere you might have specialized work or a hobby you're passionate for that others may not know of but are greatly interested in. Specialized information that you are an “expert” of and which is in high demand by a sizeable target market is a good formula for a profitable online business.
SPECIFIC STRATEGIES, METHODS TO USE: Whether you're aiming to do your marketing using paid advertisements, search engine optimization for high search engine rankings, or growing an opt-in list using a newsletter subscription or free product giveaways, the methods you use should appeal to your market's human nature, and should answer their question of “What's In It For Me”?
There are numerous ways in which you can do this, and for your protection I will mention some of the ways I've experienced online that were ineffective for my business purposes and frankly was a waste of my time and money: MLM networking, bulk email lists, misleading data entry work, paid surveys online (won't make you rich, and surveys are few and far between), randomizers, doorway generators, cloaking (could have you banned from search engines),blasting my website URL (address) to 10,000 search engines or so (only 3 major ones are excellent, and about 50 more are good but interrelated anyway), guaranteed 100,000 hits to my website (differentiate hits from actual visitors), and too many more to mention here.
Some really important strategies you can concentrate on: proper (“white-hat”) search engine optimization, developing your own legitimate opt-in (or double opt-in lists), sensible PPC (pay-per-click) advertising, increasing link popularity, offering real, valuable website information or service to your niche market, as well as ultimately developing your own informational products or services.
IMPROVING YOUR BUSINESS-SEEING WHAT WORKS, CORRECTING WHAT DOESN'T. If you're not measuring some important parameters of your business then it's possible you're “leaving money on the table”, as one savvy marketer I know is fond of saying. But such is really the case.
Are your sales increasing or decreasing? Is there a seasonal trend? Is there a major event in the internet that most likely is affecting the increase or decrease of your sales? Are you losing customers or gaining new ones? Is competition beating you to a pulp?
This comes down to either having a good web host that comes with good statistical reporting or paying for a website stats reporting service that goes into a lot of important details pertaining to the traffic coming your website's way. It is possible to see where your website visitors are coming from, what keywords were typed in when they arrived at your site, as well as information on which page of your site is the most viewed or most popular.
The moral of the story? What gets measured, eventually gets improved.
Hopefully you will include these four questions in evaluating the type of online business you plan on implementing on the 'net.
By the way, getting the answers to these four critical business questions above isn't going to guarantee success unless you add the final ingredient that makes all these info useful: ACTION.
In a nutshell:
a) ask the questions
b) truthfully answer the questions or get info to answer them
c) ACT on the answers
Cheers!

There are plenty of potential business opportunities and legitimate ways to earn money on the internet. There is no need to fall prey to some get rich quick scheme. Here are important tips to consider whenever investigating any potential internet business opportunity.
#1–Be realistic. Don't expect to “get rich quick.” It just doesn't happen that way in the real world. Set realistic business goals and expectations for yourself. Yes, it is possible to develop a “million dollar” internet business. Don't plan on it though unless you have a really good business plan and plenty of time, dedication, and hard work to devote to your business. That's not unlike any other real world brick and mortar business.
#2–Legitimate internet businesses will share information about their business opportunity with you for free. If some “top-secret” guru is trying to sell you information but unwilling to share what that “secret” information contains, consider it worthless. These “secrets to making millions” are usually just a scam selling useless information readily available online for free.
#3–If it sounds too good to be true; it probably is. There are a host of legitimate internet business opportunities available. Some businesses offer to set up an internet shopping site for you. Again, beware; just because they offer you a free online store to sell their products doesn't necessarily mean you'll make any money. Even with a strong potential market for a particular product, you still need a proven method for driving online traffic to your website. Without one, you'll end up at the bottom of search engines going broke like thousands of other internet businesses.
#4–Examine your personal circumstances; ask yourself some relevant questions. Why consider starting an internet business? What do you hope to accomplish? What are reasonable goals and expectations?
Do you need initial start-up help and is there someone you know who might help? How much time and money do you realistically have to invest in a business? Do you have enough money saved to support yourself and your family until your internet business becomes profitable?
What special skills or talents do you already posses that might prove useful in running an online business? Can you identify any additional skills you might need to learn to effectively manage your own internet business? Could you realistically manage all the requirements–the time, energy, and financial commitment necessary for starting an internet business?
Do you think a full-time internet business is something you could reasonably manage given your present personal circumstances? Would starting a part-time online business be more realistic and manageable than a full-time one? Be honest with yourself. . .
#5–Take your time and fully develop a business plan before doing anything else. Spend time researching internet business opportunities before making a firm decision on any one particular opportunity. Read everything you can by experts in whatever field you decide to model your internet business.
Remember, an internet business is like any other brick and mortar business in that it needs a strong business plan at its foundation. Write your business plan based on an appropriate proven business model. Your business plan needs to be adaptable to your individual circumstances and exhibit a strong potential for future growth.
If you are unfamiliar with business plans or just want a little refresher course, you might want to take the free business e-courses available online from the Small Business Administration. They can help you identify a niche, develop a mission statement, set goals and objectives and develop a complete business plan for your new business.
#6–Next, determine what technical requirements you need to implement your internet business plan. After deciding on a business model and developing your business plan, you'll need to focus on technical requirements. This is one aspect where internet businesses differ from their brick and mortar counterparts. Implementing an internet business plan requires solutions to some standard basic technical needs including:
A domain name – the URL where people find your internet website.
A web host account -where will you host your internet business?
A web site – the actual online business web site; can you build it yourself or do you need a professional webmaster's expertise?
An auto responder – an automatic follow-up delivery system used for subscriptions, auto billing, newsletters, marketing promotions, and customer communications. This is your greatest business tool for saving time. Subscriptions for an auto responder service run as little as $15-$20 month.
#7–Implement an effective marketing plan for driving traffic to your internet business site. Consider potential future business needs when developing your marketing plan and strategies. Revise them as needed to help drive more online traffic to your business and increase your business income. Always be sure to develop several marketing strategies.
Never rely solely on just a single marketing method to promote your internet business. Partnering with other businesses to promote your products is just one of many win-win strategies frequently implemented by successful internet businesses. There are countless others strategies you might consider based on your particular business.
#8–Investigate other income making opportunities on the internet.
If managing an internet business seems too daunting to you, there still are ways to generate online income. These potential income opportunities don't require owning an internet business at all. Some examples that might interest you are listed below. You may discover more in your online search.
E-bay and other internet auction sites–places to sell your products and services.
Craig'slist–free online advertising to sell your products or services locally.
Clickbank,HydraNetwork, and ShareASale–profitable affiliate marketing programs that share sales commissions.
A personal internet blog and blogging skills can generate advertising dollars.
Associated Content, Constant Content, and Helium–online business sites pay for writing and contributing articles of interest.
#9–Be willing to take small steps. Start out small. Take the necessary time to educate yourself and gain the skills and tools needed to grow your own profitable internet business. The rewards may be more freedom to do what you want as well as increased income.
#10–Keep in mind the internet is a vast multi-media library of information.
Legitimate internet business opportunities abound for anyone willing to share their knowledge with a targeted internet audience eager and willing to pay for information they perceive as valuable.
