Superman: Last Son MIXED FEELINGS – Xavier Zavala Heras – GYE, Ecuador
I love Geoff Jones, I love Dick Donner, and I certainly love Superman. I had high expectations on this comic, but I can’t help but think that this is overly an incomplete comic.
The art is amazing!. They focus on the background more that the actual characters, making this something really fun to watch. The story is good also; leave you with some taste of Superman: The Movie and Superman II… Dick Donner, ladies and gentlemen!!.
Regarding the story though, it really bothers me that is really clear that there are stories in between Superman: Last Son. When in this story Christopher met Robin??. This, and the fact that Chris is also part of Camelot Falls Vol. 2 makes me think I missed something. Didn’t like that. That alone make my review include only 3 stars.
I insist, the story is good, and I belive that have some great action scenes, but it feels kind of short and rushed.
I did enjoyed the 3D portion of the book. I agree that is kind of weird seeying a gronw up wearing 3D gogles, but it paid off. My sister enter to the room while I finished my gogles and put them on. Now she’s convinced I’m a complete loser a la Big Bang Theory… whatever… lol.
Bottom line, enjoyable but it could be better.
: A rocket lands in Metropolis containing a boy that Superman thinks is from Krypton. Along with figuring out that that means to him, Superman must protect young Christopher Kent, who has become the most valuable child on the planet thanks to his immense power. Lex Luthor has his sights on him, assembling his own team of villains to nab Christopher. It all leads to an action-packed finale, as Superman and the new Superman Revenge Squad — Lex Luthor, Bizarro, the Parasite and Metallo — take on General Zod, Ursa and Non in a battle for Metropolis, the future of Krypton and Christopher Kent!
