ShelterLogic 10×20 1-3/8″ 8-Leg Canopy with Enclosure Kit (White) All Around Cheap Design – Daniel Winningham – Bay Area, CA
This product is a very poor design. First of all the poles are only 1 3/8″ as opposed to the 2″ found on comparable products. Additionally, the poles are split into section which doesn’t seem like a bad idea except that they fit so snug that they are almost impossible to separate. This goes for every connection on the frame. It was incredibly difficult to get it disassembled and a couple poles I could not disassemble at all. Not only that but the canopy is also cheap. It fits very loose and there are gaps at every edge. The side panels do not fit right and in some spots I had to use two ball bungees to make it work. I guess that’s why they include an extra box of bungees. I do not recommend this product. Don’t even think about buying this for Burning Man. [...]

Quality means; Heavy Gauge Galvanized Steel. Other fabricators try to sell you on powder coated tubular steel. Powder coat is paint. That’s it. Galvanizing changes the chemical composition of the steel so it will not rust. Tubular steel will easily bend, crack etc… Our steel is 14 gauge and difficult to bend or deform without hitting it with a hammer.

Our fabric material is 10 ounce double laminated polyethylene – not vinyl. Also, our scrim layer (the fabric in between the inside and outside) is black and UV resistant. Most competitors are using 4 ounce to 7.5 ounce material without the UV protection Shelter King offers. Others will quickly wear through or crack due to UV damage.

Our main cover is ONE PIECE. There are no bungee balls or zip ties holding our garages together.

Lastly, every Shelter King garage comes with enough earth anchors to secure your unit in most soils. They can be installed in soft earth or directly through driveways with our INCLUDED anchors.
